Judge Tim Ward from the Brompton flock in Shropshire travelled over to Balmoral show for judging on the Thursday afternoon. A great turn out of exhibitors was on show with the shearling ram class seeing 9 rams forward.

A homebred shearling ewe from James McClintock took the championship and in reserve was Robert McConnell with an aged ewe. This was his first time exhibiting at Balmoral and is his first year as a member of the Society. Robert also took a first in the ewe lamb class with a lamb which was bred out of the Reserve Champion aged ewe.
