Judge John Owens made the long trip from his Herefordshire home to the Great Yorkshire Show and was rewarded with a good number of sheep to judge from 10 exhibitors.  Overall champion was the female champion, a homebred yearling ewe from Andrew Fisher’s Nidderdale flock with the male champion, a two year old ram from the Fairfax flock of Louise Barritt standing reserve.  Reserve male champion was Chris Adamson’s ram lamb from his Whitfield flock and reserve female was the second prize yearling ewe from the Cardington Flock of Dean and Katie Whybrow.
