3 weeks after taking Reserve Interbreed at The Great Yorkshire Top Spot Cover Girl went one better and took the Interbreed Champion for Mr & Mrs Burgess, Dumfries.
This was the first time Kerry’s had their own classes at Lancashire Show, judge Geraint Roberts, of the Pengwern flock, Denbigh was rewarded with good numbers and quality in every class.
His Champion came from the aged ewe class, from Mr & Mrs Burgess, Dumfries, who also took the Reserve Champion with her winning shearling ewe. The Burgesses also won the ewe lamb and Ram lamb classes, with Mr A Fisher, North Yorks coming first with his ram.
The Group of Three was hotly contested, but it was junior member Sammy Brown, Lancashire, of the Belthorn flock who took the honours.
