Members have been busy promoting the breed over the past few weeks.

The first event the Society attended was NSA Welsh Sheep which was held on 21 May 2019 at Glynllifon College near Caernarfon.  Thanks must go to Robert and Jean Price and Gwilym Pugh for providing the excellent sheep for the stand and for manning the stand throughout the day.

The next event was NSA North Sheep which was held on Wednesday 5 June 2019 at New Hall Farm, Rathmell North Yorkshire.  Derek and Cindy Steen provided some excellent sheep for the stand which was in a prime but draughty site at the entrance to the MV shed.

Robert & Jean Price, Cath and Martin Kewley, Linda Barnard, David Maltby, Gwilym Pugh and Menna Williams and the administrator were kept busy all day answering queries.

Breed Stand at NSA North Sheep

Rain didn’t dampen spirits at NSA Sheep South West, in fact it’s was the busiest event we’ve seen for many years.

Kate Esler and Chris Adamson kindly set up the stand on the monday evening and the Scott family kindly supplied two shearling ewes and a 2 year old ram.   The Scotts and Kate manned the stand on the Tuesday.   There was a great deal of interest in the breed from both the UK and visiting farmers from abroad, or maybe it was Charlotte Scott’s cakes!

Thank you to everyone involved and congratulations to Henry Scott for coming 3rd in the NSA Young Shepherd event.
