The Rare Breed sale at Carlisle this month saw an entry of 255 sheep and a top price of 2900gns for the first place yearling ram, Pentrenant Max, bred and exhibited by Robert and Jean Price. This one found a new home with Geraint Roberts.

Top priced at Carlisle sale – Pentrenant Max sold for 2900gns 

The pre-show champion was a three year old ram bred by J and P Owens and exhibited by Robert and Jean Price. this one was knocked down at 1600 gns to Derek Steen.

The price family’s Pentrenant flock celebrated more success as they took the top priced ram lamb at 1550gns selling to S Allen, while the top price for yearling ewes was 310gns for a ewe from John Swainson selling to Mr Ashbridge.

The top priced ewe lamb came from the Top Spot flock of Angie Burgess and sold for 460 gns to T Gwynne.
