Show season kicked off this year with North Somerset Show playing host to a blazing hot day of judging with six exhibitors forward in the Kerry Hill Section for judge Ed Williams of the Wenallt flock, who travelled to the show from Brecon.

The largest class was the shearling ewe class with eight entries forward. Standing at the top of the line in this class and going on to take the overall championship was Kingswater Jenny Wren from Kate Esler and Ed Simmons. This one is a hombred ewe out of Kingswater Joy by a Fronarth Tup.
Standing reserve overall champion was the second prize shearling ewe from I G Hills and Son of the Harbour flock.
