A good selection of sheep met a steady trade at the sale at Melton Mowbray on Saturday.  Topping the sale was a ewe lamb from the Natan Flock of J C Bostock & Son.  By a Cardington Ram out of a Tysoe ewe, the lamb which won the ewe lamb class in the pre sale show sold for 310gns to J Brain, Stratford on Avon.

Champion in the pre sale show was a yearling ewe, Pykards Spot 2 from the Pykards flock of Clive Drayton which went on to stand reserve in the interbreed championship. The ewe sold for 210gns joining the Pentrenant Flock of judge Robert Price.

Topping the Rams was a yearling ram, Pykards Prydwen from Clive Drayton.  The Ram which had won first prize in the pre sale show sold for 200gns travelling north to Aberdeen to join the Doonies Flock of G & D Lennox.

Topping the ram lambs was a ram lamb from J C Bostock & Sons.  2^nd prize winner in the pre sale show the lamb sold for 220gns joining the Pendin Flock of Shirley Hill.
