Northern Ireland Sale at Omagh – J Colhoun Tops the Market at £880 for Shearling Ewe
This year’s Northern Ireland Society Sale in Omagh, saw Jack Colhoun’s yearling ewe commanded the top price of the day, selling for £880. This ewe, from Colhoun’s Glenview flock, was sired by Woodhouse 2 Abracadabra and out of Glenview Lucy.
In the pre-sale show, the Male Champion, who later became the Overall Breed Champion, was a shearling ram from Mr. Denver Bradley’s Drumbane flock. The ram was home-bred, sired by a Ballykeel ram and out of a Valleyview dam, and sold for £400.
The Reserve Champion title went to Dale Wylie with a ram lamb from his Tannybrake flock in Ballymena. The lamb was sired by a Belmore ram and out of a home-bred dam.
Wallace & Stuart Clarke earned the Reserve Female Champion title with their ewe lamb from the Forge flock in Hillsborough.
