Melton Mowbray Sale Report
The Melton Mowbray sale saw lively bidding, with a top price of 480gns achieved by a ewe lamb from JC Bostock & Son’s Natan flock in Kenilworth. This standout lamb, which also claimed the title of show champion, was bred from a homebred ewe and sired by a homebred ram, showcasing the strength of the flock’s genetics.

The reserve champion, a shearling ram from A. Fisher’s Nidderdale flock, sold for 400gns. This impressive ram was sired by Carpenters Bob and out of a Grassknop ewe, reinforcing the quality of Fisher’s breeding program.

The third-highest price of the day was achieved by D & K Whybrow, with a shearling ewe that stood second in her class, fetching 370gns. This ewe was sired by Whitcastles Arizona and out of a homebred ewe from their Cardington flock in Bedfordshire.
