Society Administrator 

Are you organised, proactive, and passionate about the sheep sector? The Kerry Hill Flock Book Society is looking for a reliable and experienced Administrator to support the smooth running of the Society.

This is a self-employed, task-based role with flexible hours, focusing on core administrative, membership, and communications duties throughout the year. The Administrator works closely with the Council and Promotional Officer and plays a vital part in delivering the Society’s key activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage membership records and registrations through Grassroots
• Coordinate up to seven Society sales annually, including catalogue preparation
• Support production of the annual Flock Book
• Arrange Council meetings and AGM logistics
• Assist with financial tracking and reporting 
• Support Society communications and promotional activities
• Liaise with shows, organise trophies, rosettes, and national competitions
• Oversee basic compliance duties, including Charity Commission filing

This role offers flexibility, the opportunity to attend selected events/sales, and a chance to be at the heart of a well established pedigree sheep society.

Requirements

• Strong administrative experience (ideally in the agricultural/livestock sector)
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel, email, and database systems (e.g. Grassroots)
• Confident communicator, organised and self-motivated
• Willing to travel to key events (expenses reimbursed)
